‘Ain’t About Price?’ What does ‘Ain’t’ mean exactly?

Service isn’t about PRICE.  It never has been.  It is about Delivering VALUE.

Running a client first company, I’m always on the lookout to see how other companies measure up.  Do they deliver Value?  Do they offer great customer service and are they Client First?  So, what could an Astronaut, Value, and Process Serving possibly have in common?  Well let me tell you…..

Now that we have the basic grammar out of the way, let’s focus on the issue, VALUE. I’m reminded of a famous quote that was attributed to Astronaut John Glenn. He was asked once how he felt before he climbed into an Atlas rocket getting ready to launch into space? His response, “I felt exactly how you would feel if you were getting ready to launch and knew that you were sitting on top of 2 million parts – all built by the lowest bidder on a government contract”.  Wow, I can only imagine how he must have felt sitting there waiting for the engines to ignite. Talk about anxious! While Glenn was jokingly reflecting on the low-ball price of the “Lowest Bidder”, what I believe he was really concerned with was not the PRICE, but the VALUE!

As an owner of a Law Firm or Firm Partner, why should you care about the VALUE you are getting from your Legal Service Vendor? Well because your Service of Process Vendor is the rocket for your cases. You can build a case, file it with the clerk, but unless your Service of Process Vendor gets your case served, your case will never leave the launchpad. Most collection cases are contingency based, so if your case never launches, you never have the opportunity to collect for your client and get paid. So, as a business owner, aren’t you interested in making money and providing for your family? Do you want to rely on the LOW PRICE LEADER to get your cases launched? The great news is you don’t have too. There is another choice, 360 Legal.

As a test, ask yourself and your staff if they feel like you are getting VALUE from your current Legal Service vendor? When something goes wrong, do they have someone your staff can call who will help them resolve their problem? Are your cases piling up, waiting for someone to efile or assign them out for service? I’m not sure what response you will receive, but I do know what 360 Legal’s clients will say!

When I am speaking with a prospect or a client, I always talk about the value that 360 Legal delivers.  Why? Because unless you are working with one of the low price/low value Legal Service Providers; pricing in the industry is fairly standard. For most firms, the Service of Process fee is a pass-thru cost.  Your clients should be paying the standard industry rate for service of process already, so our fees won’t be a surprise. What does surprise new clients is the value we deliver.  At 360 Legal, we deliver VALUE. Our services are offered at a fair industry standard price, and we produce tangible results! 360 Legal’s service is backed by our comprehensive services, our experience, and our technology.

Recently our operations team ran a statistics report for one of our newest clients who was previously with one of the low cost/low value providers. We delivered over an 80% successful service rate. They were blown away by the performance. An increase in successful service directly impacts your firm’s ability to collect for your clients. How much could you, your firm, or your clients benefit by a 10% to 15% increase in your successful service rate?

Since I founded 360 legal, my focus has been on driving VALUE and establishing a Client First Environment.  Don’t let the leaders in low cost/low value service of process educate you on why it “Ain’t about price”.  They clearly make it all about price and low value service every day, all day.

If your current vendor isn’t delivering value or is expecting you to tolerate bad or non-existent customer service; drop me an email, or give us a call! 360 Legal, will show you the difference working with a VALUE driven Client First vendor will make for your firm.

You, your firm, and your staff deserve better! Call us, you won’t be disappointed!
