Process Service Help for those Filing PRO SE – Service of Process By Sheriff
Using the Sheriff to serve process can seem logical; however, Sheriff offices rarely have dedicated servers on staff. That means your Process Service takes a back seat to more urgent policing matters. Your process service happens when someone is available. While it may sound self-serving, we recommend against using the Sheriff’s office. Instead, we recommend engaging a process service with a proven track record of efficiently delivering your affidavits. It’s beneficial to have a relationship with your process server if you have multiple times that court papers have to be served in your case.
