Process Service Help for those Filing PRO SE – SUBSTITUTED SERVICE
When other service methods have failed or are not possible, a motion for alternative service and an affidavit can be filed to demonstrate that you made reasonable efforts to serve the other party. There are several hoops to jump through to provide “Substituted Service “. Substituted service is a “last resort.” Talk with your process server for additional advice on Substituted Service if required.
