Replevin, commonly referred to as a\u00a0claim or delivery, is a concept that few people outside the legal field are familiar with.\u00a0 Primarily, Replevin is a legal remedy, which permits a person to recover personal property, which was taken unlawfully or wrongfully.<\/p>\n
However, unlike trespass or trover suits, the main purpose of the Replevin court proceeding is the return of the actual property and not monetary damages.<\/p>\n
Historically, replevin actions were grounded in common law, but now replevin actions generally fall under each state\u2019s civil procedure statutes.<\/p>\n
In Florida, Replevin is coverted by Title VI, Civil Practic and Procudreu, Chapter 78, Replevin.<\/p>\n
