{"id":558,"date":"2020-03-06T15:12:30","date_gmt":"2020-03-06T15:12:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/360processserver.com\/?p=558"},"modified":"2020-03-06T15:12:30","modified_gmt":"2020-03-06T15:12:30","slug":"process-service-on-dissolved-corporations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/360legal.net\/blog\/process-service-on-dissolved-corporations\/","title":{"rendered":"Process Service on Dissolved Corporations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As mandated by Florida Statute 48.101, if a corporation was\ndissolved prior to July 1, 1990, and process is to be served on one or more of\nthe directors of that corporation then the court system regards that as being\nserved against <em>all<\/em> directors of that\ncorporation, since they are all considered to be trustees of that corporation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If action is to be taken against the corporation itself then\nprocess will be served in accordance with Florida Statute 48.081.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.leg.state.fl.us\/statutes\/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&amp;Search_String=&amp;URL=0000-0099\/0048\/Sections\/0048.101.html\" target=\"_blank\"><em>48.101\u2003Service on dissolved corporations<\/em><\/a><em>.\u2014Process against the directors of any corporation which was dissolved before July 1, 1990, as trustees of the dissolved corporation shall be served on one or more of the directors of the dissolved corporation as trustees thereof and binds all of the directors of the dissolved corporation as trustees thereof.
