Process Service Help for those Filing PRO SE – How Do I Serve Documents?<\/h2>\n

The parties to the case cannot serve copies on the opposing party.\u00a0 There are three most often used means of serving process.<\/p>\n

  1. Hand delivery<\/li>\n
  2. Certified mail restricted delivery<\/li>\n
  3. Sheriff<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    There is another much easier alternative, using a third-party process server.\u00a0 Process Servers do this for a living.\u00a0 Many are used to dealing entirely with the legal profession.\u00a0 Most Process Servers that deliver for individuals that are filing pro se tend to be smaller businesses, or individuals and lack resources to execute quickly, or to deal with any unusual circumstances.<\/p>\n
